# Appearance

Personalize Proxima’s color theme and button style, then choose the desktop trade-panel layout that suits you.

Open **Settings**, then choose an item under **Appearance**. Use the matching tab below.

## Theme

-   **Presets**: Apply a complete Proxima color palette.
-   **Edit theme**: Use the gear beside a preset to copy it into Custom as an editable base.
-   **Custom**: Edit the primary, secondary, background, text, stroke, action, chart, and status colors.
-   **Export**: Copy the current palette as Proxima JSON.
-   **Import**: Import a theme from Proxima or Axiom .

## Style

-   **Modern**: Uses the compact default button treatment.
-   **Classic**: Uses the classic Proxima button treatment.
-   **Rounded**: Uses fully rounded buttons.

## Layout

-   **Left**: Places the trade panel beside the workspace.
-   **Top**: Places the trade panel across the top of the workspace.
-   **Mobile**: The layout control is hidden on mobile.
